Description
The box-type PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) relay is an electrical component used for protection and control in various electronic and electrical devices. It consists of a ceramic element made of PTC material that exhibits a significant increase in resistance when its temperature rises above a certain threshold. This property allows the PTC relay to act as a self-resetting circuit breaker. When the current passing through the relay exceeds a safe level, the PTC element heats up and its resistance increases, causing the relay to open and interrupt the current flow, thus protecting the device from overcurrent conditions. Once the fault is cleared, the PTC element cools down, and the relay automatically resets, allowing current flow again. The box-type design provides a compact and secure enclosure for the PTC relay, making it suitable for various applications in electronics, home appliances, and industrial systems.
